Our capabilities include CNC milling, turning, Swiss machining, EDM, grinding, and other precision manufacturing processes. We are expanding our operations under new ownership and are looking for an NPI Engineer to lead the transition of new parts from RFQ/customer requirements into stable production. Position Summary The NPI Engineer will own the technical introduction of new CNC machining projects, working closely with Programming, Production, Quality, and customers. The primary goal is to ensure new parts are manufacturable, properly planned, launched on time, and transitioned efficiently into repeatable production . Key Responsibilities Review customer drawings, specifications, tolerances, materials, and quality requirements. Conduct manufacturability and technical reviews for new RFQs and orders. Develop manufacturing process plans, routing, and operation sequences. Determine appropriate machines, tooling, workholding, inspection requirements, and outside processes. Coordinate CNC programming, setup, tooling, and First Article production. Support FAI / AS9102 and customer approval requirements. Troubleshoot machining and process issues during NPI. Optimize cycle time, setup time, tooling, and manufacturing processes. Maintain NPI schedules and identify technical or delivery risks before production. Create and maintain standardized manufacturing documentation and process records. Transition successfully validated parts from NPI into regular production. Support continuous improvement of existing CNC processes when needed. Qualifications 3+ years of CNC machining, manufacturing engineering, or NPI experience. Strong understanding of CNC milling and/or turning processes. Ability to read complex engineering drawings and GD&T. Experience with tooling, fixtures, workholding, and machining process development. Familiarity with CAD/CAM and CNC programming is strongly preferred. Experience with 5-axis, Swiss machining, or complex precision components is a plus. Experience in aerospace, defense, or medical manufacturing is preferred. Knowledge of

AS9100, ISO 13485, AS9102

FAI, or similar quality systems is a plus. Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills. The ideal candidate understands what happens on the shop floor and can take a new CNC part from drawing review through First Article and stable production .
