Job Description

Description We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer responsible for supporting the development, build, and refinement of prototypes and early production units. This role requires strong shop-floor presence to assemble components, test equipment, and troubleshoot issues in real time while partnering closely with design, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and build quality. Duties and Responsibilities Core responsibilities are focused on the physical build process: Prototype and product builds: Support hands-on assembly of prototypes and low-volume builds using standard tools and equipment.
Process development and tooling:
Assist in designing and building jigs, fixtures, and assembly aids.
Shop floor support:
Provide daily technical support to production teams and help resolve build issues. Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Partner with design engineers to improve ease of assembly and product quality.
Documentation:
Develop and maintain clear build instructions, SOPs, and work instructions.
Root-cause analysis:
Support investigation of production and quality issues using methods such as 5 Whys.
Equipment support:
Assist with installation, testing, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
Supplier collaboration:
Work with vendors to address part quality and material issues. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related Engineering field required, with 3-5+ years of hands-on experience building mechanical or electromechanical products. Technical Skills Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies Ability to design and build fixtures, jigs, and basic tooling Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics Hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical and electromechanical systems Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic assemblies preferred Ability to analyze production data to support improvements Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Horsham, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
