Excellent Career Growth Opportunities Direct Wire & Cable is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to optimize our production processes, improve equipment performance, and drive operational excellence. This role is responsible for leading equipment installations, commissioning new manufacturing lines, increasing efficiency, and minimizing downtime while supporting a safe, high-quality manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Lead the installation, setup, commissioning, and startup of new manufacturing equipment. Ensure equipment is fully operational, validated, and capable of meeting production requirements. Improve manufacturing processes to increase throughput, quality, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Identify and eliminate causes of downtime through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Partner with Maintenance, Production, and Quality teams to optimize equipment reliability and performance. Develop standard operating procedures, work instructions, and preventive maintenance recommendations. Support capital projects from concept through implementation. Monitor production metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles. Provide technical support and training for production teams. Honor core values Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment. Experience commissioning and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to manage multiple projects while working collaboratively across departments. Valid driver's license required.
