Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer ResourceTek is the Human Capital division of Barge Design Solutions, a multi-discipline Engineering and Architecture firm. We specialize in providing technical recruitment and staffing services to industry and government in all areas of Engineering, Information Technology, and a broad range of other Technical disciplines. In partnership with our client, a global leader in metals manufacturing, we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer located in Latrobe, PA. The ideal candidate will provide input into the purchase, modification, and improvement of varied equipment. This is a direct hire opportunity paying $80,000 - $83,000 salary.
JOB DUTIES
Represents specific discipline (i.e. Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) on cross functional project teams by writing PO's or non-stocks and responsible for managing cost, schedule, and performance for the discipline-specific project subset. Completes standard engineering & design work related to the installation and retrofit of equipment. Provides day-to-day equipment troubleshooting support to Maintenance. May specialize in one of the following disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical, Civil. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree required, bachelor's degree preferred. Three or more years of relevant experience required or equivalent as determined by the department management.
PREFERRED
Ability to work in a production-oriented environment. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. Ability to perform independent work on larger assignments requiring experience and independent judgment and under supervision of higher-level engineer, supervisor, or manager. Design skills. Problem solving skills. Ability to manage subsets of projects. Ability to apply engineering discipline training in the design of equipment and fabrications. Ability to direct outside consultants, contractors, and material suppliers. Skills in the use of CAD system (3D capabilities preferred), MS Office software packages and engineering design software packages. $80,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
