Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Chemical Process Engineer in Pittsburgh, known for its vibrant cultural scene, rich history, and strong industrial presence. This role focuses on technical quality, design review, and engineering oversight. It is ideal for someone who excels at evaluating the work of others, ensuring accuracy and consistency, and upholding high engineering standards across complex projects. Responsibilities Perform conceptual and detailed design for advanced manufacturing facilities. Use best practices and industry knowledge to solve complex engineering problems. Validate calculations, specifications, and design assumptions to ensure consistency and defensibility of engineering work products. Conduct quality reviews on designs performed by others. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on basic engineering applications and principles. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and attention to detail to uphold high engineering standards across all projects. Bring curiosity, talent for multi-tasking, collaboration, and proven communication and organizational skills to make impactful contributions. Qualifications Here's what you'll need: Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a similar engineering field. At least 8 years of experience in a chemical process engineering role on facilities designs in advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or oil & gas industries. At least one year of semiconductor experience. Ideally, you'll also have: Experience with semiconductor facilities systems. Experience with common building design software such as Bluebeam and Navisworks. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies, errors, or gaps in technical deliverables. Familiarity with construction deliverables including P&IDs, detail sheets, and calculations. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A coaching mindset for improving the quality of work with team members. Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams with members based in various regions. Schedule We're seeking someone available to work a minimum of 20 hours/week, preferably more. Work hour flexibility is needed to support a globally dispersed team.
