Manufacturing Engineer Excellent opportunity for Manufacturing Engineer with 3-5 years of experience developing manufacturing processes and programming CNC equipment for custom parts and assemblies. This hands-on role focuses on CNC laser, punch, and press brake programming, translating customer drawings into efficient production processes, and preparing detailed work instructions for the shop.

Responsibilities:

Review customer drawings and models to determine manufacturing methods, tooling, and operation sequences. Develop manufacturing processes for CNC laser cutting, punching, press brake forming, hardware insertion, welding, and assembly. Program CNC laser, punch, and press brake equipment. Establish material requirements, machine setups, tooling, and fabrication sequences. Develop detailed, part-specific work instructions for operators and fabricators. Identify manufacturability issues and recommend design or process changes. Work directly with shop personnel to troubleshoot production problems and refine manufacturing processes. Support quality, production efficiency, and repeatability across prototype and production work.

Requirements:

3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience. Experience interpreting engineering drawings and developing manufacturing processes from customer designs. CNC programming experience involving laser cutting, punching, and/or press brake operations. Understanding of sheet metal fabrication, including cutting, forming, tooling, welding, and assembly. Experience preparing work instructions and manufacturing documentation. Practical knowledge of tooling, machine setups, material requirements, and fabrication sequences. Experience troubleshooting manufacturing issues and working directly with shop personnel. CAD/CAM software experience required; specific software TBD. Prior sheet metal fabrication experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with relevant CNC manufacturing and process engineering experience will be considered.
