The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for leading process improvements in the manufacturing cells associated with the Assembly and Machine Shop production lines. This person will maintain safe and reliable manufacturing processes to ensure maximized product yield and throughput. They will be responsible for the process flow and documentation of standard work. activities Conduct Installation, Operation and Process qualification on new and existing equipment/ tooling/ processes. Identify new/ upgrade needs for equipment and write Capital Acquisition Requests Ensure repeatability and reproducibility of processes, testing, measurement and analytical equipment Specifies manufacturing methods and part routings Performs time studies or observe/capture standard work Participate in Kaizen activities Specifies and orders tooling and equipment, consumables as needed. Designs and documents fixturing and tools using SolidWorks software and applying GD&T, Tolerance stack up analysis. Maintains
DOCUMENTATION
related to part routings, work instructions and inspection Creates/updates Process Documentation for areas of ownership
- Routers, OMS, MP, QSB Compiles and writes training material and conduct training/coaching sessions on quality control and manufacturing activities Reviews current process documentation Observes as is manufacturing processes in detail Documents & measures observed variations between documented and as is process Coordinates with operators, supervisor and manufacturing engineering on line balancing opportunities Recommends and coordinates tooling/fixturing improvements with manufacturing engineering & tool & die teams
