Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation Engineer to join our team. Mora Technologies provides modern control systems and custom designed automated cells/machines for manufacturers in the US, primarily in the mid-west region. We are seeking multifaceted candidates that can fulfill the role of a PLC programmer, SCADA designer, and/or robotic engineer. Candidate may be stronger in one main area but must be familiar of the main automation systems/concepts. Mora will evaluate the needs of the team when putting weight on the value of expertise. The ability to learn new systems quickly is required. Mora is currently looking to onboard strong technical industrial programmers. Full stack development skills and an understanding of modern computer programming languages including structured text is desired. The ideal candidate will be capable of supporting the design and development of modern industrial control systems for increasing manufacturing performance and/or efficiency. Candidate must be familiar with interacting with physical systems on machines and in plant sites. The understanding of general electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems is required. The candidate must show a willingness to tackle complex problems and the ability to manage multiple projects at once. Candidate will be responsible for working with an engineering team to complete projects. This position is for full-time in-person employment. The position includes salary plus benefits, health insurance, 401k plans, and PTO policies. Flexible remote work schedules are available when needed. In-person is required for building a strong team bond.

Key Responsibilities:
Programming & Software Development:
Develop, test, and deploy automation software using languages such as Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, VBA, C/C++, C#, Structured Text, Ladder Logic, and Function Block. Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems from brands such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, Ignition, and Wonderware. Integrate and interface automation systems with databases, vision systems, sensors, and other industrial equipment. Create software for the control of physical systems: electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc.
Engineering Drawings & Documentation:
Interpret and support the creation detailed engineering drawings. Document all automation processes, including software code, system configurations, and operational procedures.
System Integration & Maintenance:
Design, implement, and maintain automated systems and processes, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to PLCs, HMIs, sensors, robotics, and other automation components. Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure ongoing system reliability and performance.
Robotics & Vision Systems:
Program and configure industrial robots for tasks such as material handling, assembly, and inspection. Develop and integrate vision systems for quality control, machine guidance, and process optimization
Project Management:
Lead and manage automation projects from concept through to commissioning, ensuring that all milestones are met within budget and on schedule. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance to optimize system performance.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure that all automation systems comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Implement and promote best practices for safety and risk management in automated processes. Travel Travel required for on-site commissioning and in-person support when projects require it.
