Position Summary As an MSE Design Engineer, you will be focused on the selection, development, and optimization of materials used in our MSE products. You will work with fundamental material science and practical product design, working to ensure that our designs meet performance, durability, and cost requirements.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that all work performed is in accordance with EKHO policies, standards of engineering practice, and project-specific requirements Encourage existing and new Group members to focus on quality when performing duties. Participate in providing technical consultation to external clients regarding product information and use of core software. Apply established engineering methodologies to complete the structural design and analysis of a range of MSE products. Use client-provided information to develop horizontal and vertical geometric configurations for various MSE products. Interpret design concepts and produce the detailed information required for the preparation of design plans and shop drawings. Conduct quality assurance reviews of all design and drafting deliverables associated with assigned projects. Enter project data into proprietary design software and prepare wall elevation drawings and related details for both bid submissions and final project documentation based on client requirements. Generate and verify material quantity estimates, utilizing proprietary design tools.
Education/Qualifications:
  • BS-Civil Engineering degree required, understanding of the principles of soil mechanics/geotechnical engineering, especially concerning the strength properties of geotechnical materials, earth pressure theories, and slope stability.
experience in or the ability to learn how to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports. Thorough knowledge of engineering terminology. Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite AutoCAD proficiency is considered an asset

$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
