You will report directly to our Director of Supplier Development Engineering and you'll work out of our Torrance CA, Greer SC, Charlotte, NC, Clearwater FL, Minneapolis MN, Phoenix AZ, Rocky Mount NC, South Bend, IN, or Torrance CA, location on a remote work schedule. 60% travel is required for this role. In this role, you will impact the company by developing and implementing advanced manufacturing strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, improve product quality, and drive cost efficiencies within our external casting and forging supply chain. Responsibilities Lead producibility assessments and provide engineering solutions to improve casting & forging manufacturing processes Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure producibility considerations are integrated early in product development Analyze production data to identify areas for both process and output improvements, as well as cost reduction and yield improvements Develop and implement advanced manufacturing techniques and tools to enhance product quality and efficiency Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive best practices in producibility engineering Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics Willingness to travel 60% of the time with advanced notice Extensive experience in advanced manufacturing engineering and process optimization with 5 or more years of experience working in casting manufacturing Proven track record of driving operational excellence and process improvements Excellent leadership and people management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams Must have deep knowledge of investment or sand casting and the associated manufacturing processes.
WE VALUE
Master's or Ph.D. degree in Engineering or related field Strong knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies, such as automation, robotics, and additive manufacturing 10+ years of manufacturing experience in castings (sand, investment, fine grain, cored, aluminum, magnesium, Inconel, stainless steel, iron, titanium, super alloys etc) Must have experience working with, Investment casting Sand casting Single crystal Directionally solidified Equifax Ceramic core Permanent mold Inconel Tier 1 or 2 aerospace, industrial gas turbine or automotive supply chain experience Expertise in implementing advanced manufacturing technologies and processes Ability to think strategically and drive change in a dynamic environment Strong project management skills Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in advanced manufacturing Commitment to continuous learning and professional development Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers The annual base salary range for this position is $132,000 - $165,500. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
