What You will

Do:

The Hot Section Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced engineer to join its team as a Senior Project Engineer for F135 Nozzle and 3BSM Module. The Sr. Project Engineer will be responsible for part-level ownership on a Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) and will plan and execute assigned tasks to ensure the IPT achieves overall component goals.

This role will include direct interfacing opportunities with engineering management, program management, suppliers and government customers. The selected candidate will work with a team of individuals to meet requirements and achieve goals. The Sr. Project Engineer will be technically proficient, communicate effectively, and be customer-focused to meet the bold demands of this Military engine program

Accountable to CIPT for part-level planning and execution, including communication, risk management and execution to program requirements

Provide support and leadership to F135 Nozzle and 3BSM IPT

Plan, propose and execute development, production and sustainment improvement tasks

Interface directly with a wide team spanning all portions of the F135 program

Communicate with the F135 leadership and government contacts on a weekly basis

Control Accounts Manager (CAM) responsible for schedule and budget for varies task

Must Have Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years prior relevant engineering experience OR an Advanced Degree and 3+ years prior relevant engineering experience

10 Travel

Qualifications We Prefer:

Proficiency in use of program/project management tools (e.g. Systems Applications and Products (SAP), Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Teamcenter, Confluence, Jira).

Completed CAM Training / CAM Certified

Demonstrated success in leading multi-functional teams

Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations and management

Experience with nozzle or exhaust design and development

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
