- Level 4 to join our Launch Systems Manufacturing Integration Team in Chandler, AZ.
Your Role and Impact:
Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plans. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, investigate and initiate corrective actions for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques. Provide guidance to engineering regarding Design For Manufacturing (DFM) concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations. Your ExpertiseRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of professional experience- OR•Master's degree with 6 years of professional experience Must have an active US Government Secret (or above) security clearance at time of application, current and within scope Experienced in creating, supporting & sustaining the use of Manufacturing Engineering System (MES) work instructions Proficient in DFM Experience with manufacturing processes, procedures work cell layout, production build sequence, tooling design, troubleshooting/corrective action, and quality assurance.
CAD, NX, Costpoint and Teamcenter Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering Familiarity with Northrop Grumman processesSoft Skills:
