Applications Engineering & Technical Business Manager ???? San Diego, CA | Hybrid We are partnering with a highly specialized advanced manufacturing organization seeking an engineering leader who can bridge customer needs, manufacturing capabilities, and technical business growth. This is not a traditional engineering management role.

• Customer Engineering Leadership The ideal candidate understands how to work directly with customers, engineering teams, and manufacturing operations to develop engineered solutions, support technical business opportunities, and drive long-term customer relationships. What You'll Be Doing
• Lead customer-facing engineering and technical business support activities
• Partner with customers to understand technical requirements, manufacturability, and application needs
• Support RFQs, technical presentations, product discussions, and new business opportunities
• Coordinate closely with manufacturing, engineering, and global production teams
• Drive process/product improvements and engineered manufacturing solutions
• Support strategic customer growth and technical relationship development
• Mentor a small engineering team and lead cross-functional technical initiatives Ideal Background
• Applications Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Product Engineering, or Technical Sales Engineering experience
• Background in advanced manufacturing, technical ceramics, electronic packaging, engineered materials/components, or precision assembly
• Strong customer-facing technical communication skills
• Experience supporting manufacturing processes, product development, or technical business growth initiatives
• Familiarity with processes such as brazing, metallization, assembly, or manufacturing optimization
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and customer specifications
• CAD experience preferred (SolidWorks / AutoCAD)

Hybrid (4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote)
