Job Description
As a Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at Honeywell, you will serve as a technical leader responsible for driving key manufacturing processes within aerospace component production. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, performance, and operational efficiency, with a strong focus on advanced turbine engine coating technologies. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role with significant technical ownership and influence—providing leadership and guidance to engineering teams without direct people management responsibilities.
- Key Responsibilities
- + Own and lead end-to-end advanced manufacturing processes, with focus on: + Process development, parameters, and optimization + Tooling design and qualification + Maintenance and inspection criteria + Customer approvals and compliance + Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process stability, product quality, and operational efficiency + Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions + Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and cross-functional teams + Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to support production goals + Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, safety regulations, and industry requirements + Support integration and advancement of manufacturing technologies (e.
- Minimum Qualifications
- + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or 10+ years of EBPVD Thermal Coating Engineering experience. + Proven experience in
- advanced manufacturing and process optimization
- within aerospace or highly regulated industries + Strong expertise in
- thermal coating technologies
- (ceramic and aluminizing) + Experience in
- data analysis and process control
- (e.g., statistical process control) + Demonstrated ability to operate in a
- technical leadership capacity
- + Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Preferred Qualifications
- + Direct hands-on experience with
- EBPVD coating processes
- + Experience in
- highly regulated aerospace manufacturing environments
- + Master's degree in Engineering or related field + Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies (automation, robotics) + Strong project management and continuous improvement experience + Six Sigma Black Belt
