Full-Time Job Description:
1. Meets key duties and responsibilities of Manufacturing Engineer. 2. Monitor key operational projects to ensure attainment of scope, timing, budgets, and desired outcome. 3. Perform project management activities for significantly large projects, including new product development, facility changes, infrastructure, and other strategic initiatives. 4. Primary responsibility for the improvement of manufacturing methods consistent with the principles of scientific molding and process control. Includes researching new technology to support facility, infrastructure, and equipment strategies. 5. Development and deployment of technical standards, training, and procedures. Includes RJG training and auditing for effectiveness. 6. Lead technical aspects of new product development relating to projecting equipment, cycle times, shrink, & labor requirements, decoration strategies, production flow, automation & secondary operation deployment, trialing, and NPD launch completion (Release to Production). Support on other aspects of NPD. 7. Interface with plant salaried staff and hourly technical staff to optimize processes and improve skills. 8. Equipment vendor relationship selection and management. 9. Conduct project management training and coaching. 10. Other duties as assigned. Education/Certification Level Required Bachelor's Degree - Plastics Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering Level Desired Scientific Molding Certifications, such as RJG Train the Trainer Certification in Project Management by PMBOK Work Experience Required 3-6 years of relevant work experience AutoCAD &/or SolidWorks experience Project management experience Welding experience, when in Customs operations Work Experience Desired 6-8 years of relevant work experience Experience with plastic molding operations. Familiarity with Scientific Molding principles Knowledge of product design/manufacturability #ORBIS #LI-CD1
