A Manufacturing Process Engineer develops workflow, work station, and equipment improvement recommendations within a company's manufacturing environment. Fine tunes manufacturing processes by researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment. Evaluates manufacturing processes, applies knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and material.
Design I/O module layouts, communication network topologies, and wiring paths for controllers.
Component Specification:
Select physical relays, terminal blocks, circuit breakers, power supplies, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
Thermal & Load Calculations:
Compute heat dissipation within the enclosure to specify colling units or venting hardware.
BOM Management:
Compile manufacturing Bill of Materials with exact part numbers, footprints, and vendor data.
Safety Standards:
Certify that panel construction strictly complies with UL 508A (Industrial Control Panels) and NFPA 79 standards.
Technical Skills Profile:
AutoCAD Electrical:
Advanced use of intelligent symbols, automated wire numbering, cross-referencing, and terminal strip utilities.
Hardware Knowledge:
Strong familiarity with automation hardware brands like Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, or Schneider Electric.
Schematic Logic:
Deep understanding of power distribution, control loops, safety interlocking circuits, and grounding principles, 4-20ma loop powered circuits.
PLC/HMI Programming Experience:
Allen-Bradley Programming/Debug Experience required. Siemens and/or Schneider is a plus, not required.
Waste Water Experience:
Experience with Headworks Waste Water Systems is a plus, not required.
Travel:
5-1% travel may be required. 90% of travel would only be 1-2 days onsite.

$71,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
