Since 1977, we have sold, installed and serviced building automation and temperature control systems. We also offer mechanical service and factory certified start-up of commercial HVAC equipment. Our offices are located in Sioux Falls and Rapid City South Dakota, and Fargo and Bismarck North Dakota. We are a growing company with great opportunities for career development. G&R Controls Location Sioux Falls, SD Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required. Duties Design building automation systems for the operation of HVAC components and other automated equipment in commercial buildings and institutional facilities, including new construction and retrofit. Analyze plans, specifications, and contracts to determine system requirements for building automation systems. Capture and communicate details to assist with project management and compliance. Select product sizes, types, and placement to ensure products meet specified requirements. Order computers, software and materials for projects. Gather and review technical information for job files, and provide to Controls Installation staff as needed. Prepare submittals containing schematics, descriptions and technical literature as required. Organize and maintain job files, including design documents and technical information. Prepare and finalize "as built" drawings and documents from data supplied by installation or project management personnel. Assist in training customers and installers to operate building automation systems. Troubleshoot communications equipment and peripherals. Project management. Skills Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and HVAC concepts, with an interest in controls preferred. Able to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams. Solid computer skills, to include Microsoft Office, as well as drafting or building model software. Revit and BIM knowledge helpful. Comfortable working with PDF documents and databases, internet and email navigation, file management. Good customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal. Project management experience a plus. We offer competitive pay, including annual bonus plan.
