Summary:

TES Recruiting is partnering with an industrial manufacturer seeking a Production Engineer to support engineered products from customer requirements through production release. This role combines manufacturing engineering, CAD, bills of material, routing development and cost estimation. The engineer will work across Engineering, Operations and commercial teams to ensure projects can be produced efficiently, accurately and within expected cost and schedule requirements.

Responsibilities:

Prepare project-specific technical submittals and manufacturing documentation. Create and maintain bills of material, part codes and parent-child product structures. Develop production routings and estimated manufacturing run times. Use SolidWorks, AutoCAD or related software to create production drawings and machine programs. Review customer drawings and specifications, resolving interpretation issues with Production and Engineering. Validate equipment capability, material availability and required manufacturing skill sets before release. Prepare detailed project cost estimates covering labor, materials and overhead. Evaluate actual or expected run times and identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency. Update estimates, bills of material and routings as project requirements change. Provide feedback that improves production planning, estimating tools and engineering processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience supporting production engineering, manufacturing planning, estimating or engineered products. Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks or comparable CAD software. Experience creating bills of material, routings, part structures or production documentation. Ability to interpret drawings and communicate effectively across Engineering, Operations and commercial teams. Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Organized, detail-oriented and comfortable balancing multiple customer or production priorities.
