full-time Role Description Turn engineering plans into working manufacturing systems. SCIVIC is seeking Project Engineers - Automotive Manufacturing Systems to support the execution of automotive manufacturing and industrial equipment projects from design and procurement through manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and closeout. This is a hands-on engineering and project-execution role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems and turning engineering plans into working manufacturing systems. You will work across engineering, suppliers, project teams, subcontractors, and customers to support projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from design and procurement through manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and closeout. What You'll Do Support projects throughout the lifecycle, including design, procurement, manufacturing, shipment, installation, commissioning, and closeout. Review equipment layouts, drawings, specifications, and system interfaces to identify technical, constructability, and installation issues. Develop and maintain project schedules, installation plans, look-ahead plans, action lists, and progress tracking. Coordinate technical information and deliverables across engineering teams, suppliers, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, subcontractors, and customers. Plan installation sequencing, dependencies, resource requirements, site readiness, and equipment/material availability. Monitor field progress against project schedules, identify constraints and risks, and support corrective or recovery actions. Support equipment installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, customer acceptance, and project closeout. Maintain clear project documentation and escalate significant technical, quality, safety, and schedule issues. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related engineering field. 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred in automotive manufacturing, industrial equipment, automation, material handling, installation, construction, or commissioning. Strong entry-level candidates with relevant internship, co-op, manufacturing, or field experience are also encouraged to apply. Ability to read and understand equipment layouts, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules. Strong problem-solving, organization, communication, and follow-through skills. Ability to work effectively with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, customers, and field teams. Willingness to travel frequently and work at customer, supplier, manufacturing, and project sites based on project needs. Nice to Have Experience with automotive Body Shop, Paint Shop, General Assembly, conveyor, AGV/AMR, material-handling, or production-logistics systems . Experience with equipment manufacturing, installation, field engineering, or commissioning. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, ERP systems, Point, or similar engineering and project-management tools. Mandarin Chinese language skills and/or experience collaborating with China-based engineering or manufacturing teams are helpful, but not required.
