Join Our Team as a Hands-On Lean Manufacturing Engineer Are you passionate about driving operational excellence and creating measurable results on the manufacturing floor? We are seeking an experienced Lean Manufacturing Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is eager to lead meaningful improvements across our operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working directly with operators, supervisors, maintenance, quality, warehouse, and planning teams to improve flow, eliminate waste, and increase productivity. What You'll Do As our Lean Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and deploying Lean Manufacturing practices across the organization.
You will:
Lead Lean initiatives focused on improving throughput, reducing waste, and increasing operational efficiency. Develop and execute Lean deployment roadmaps with measurable operational and financial results. Facilitate Kaizen events and rapid improvement projects. Analyze and redesign mixed-model value streams to improve flow, reduce bottlenecks, and stabilize schedules. Drive 5S and visual workplace improvements throughout production and warehouse operations. Lead SMED and changeover reduction projects to improve equipment utilization and responsiveness. Develop standard work, visual management systems, and daily management routines. Partner with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions. Monitor key performance metrics including throughput, downtime, productivity, quality, schedule adherence, and safety. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred. 5+ years of hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering. Demonstrated success implementing Lean tools and methodologies, including: Value Stream Mapping 5S SMED/Changeover Reduction Standard Work Line Balancing Root Cause Problem Solving Daily Management Systems Kaizen Facilitation Experience working directly with production teams in a manufacturing environment. Strong project leadership, communication, and influencing skills. Proven ability to deliver measurable business results through process improvement. Preferred Qualifications Experience in mixed-model manufacturing, packaging, or batch production environments. Knowledge of OEE, schedule adherence, throughput improvement, and bottleneck management. Experience supporting Lean transformations or operating system deployments. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Skilled at engaging teams and building credibility through execution. Comfortable challenging the status quo while maintaining positive working relationships.
