This is a traveling role which adds an element of excitement and opportunity. This role will travel anywhere from 50%-75% at times. We are building processes and programs at the plants and we are all hands on deck on building something great together.Reports to:
Sr. Director of Operations About theRole:
The Project Engineer will serve as a key player in the Rangen Group's animal feed production facilities. This position will assist plant managers and operations management personnel with the execution of plant level projects within the operations organization. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Engineer works closely with plant management and contract engineers throughout the project life cycle to assure safety, quality, and efficiencies are delivered on time.What You'll Do:
Work closely with Plant Managers and Maintenance on process upgrades, troubleshooting, maintenance issues and scheduling as well as process and project implementation Assist with designs, develop process drawings, use AutoCAD and other design software to develop drawings and P&ID's as needed Assist plant personnel and contractors with installation of equipment as needed for project execution May participate in the commissioning of new equipment in production facilities Maintain good records of all plant designs, equipment information, etc. Recommend measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance Work with department heads, outside vendors, contractors Spend significant time within the plants managing projects and contractors Be a team player that is willing to work on the production floor to get the job done Serve as a technical resource for feed manufacturing processes Integrate safety, environmental, and product quality into project scope Travel to support multi-site improvement initiatives Other duties as assigned Requirements of theRole:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience 3+ years project engineering experience Strong safety work ethic Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions Comfort working on the production floor with operators and supervisors Ability to utilize computers and design software Travel required up to 75% in the beginning, will get to a 50% level Rangen, LLC Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
