CI Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer II Location:
El Paso, TX Air Systems Components (ASC), a business segment of Air Distribution Technologies, Inc. (ADTI), is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our El Paso, TX manufacturing facility. ASC is a leading manufacturer of air distribution, air control, and critical environment solutions, delivering high‑quality HVAC products for commercial, industrial, and specialty applications. Our El Paso location is a key production hub supporting North American operations, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within a high‑volume manufacturing environment. What You'll Do As a Manufacturing Engineer with ASC in El Paso, you will play a critical role in driving plant performance by: Leading process improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality across metal fabrication, assembly, and production operations. Partnering closely with Operations, Quality, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain to support new product introductions, engineering changes, and manufacturability improvements. Developing, maintaining, and refining work instructions, routings, process documentation, and SOPs aligned with ASC production standards. Analyzing manufacturing data and KPIs to identify trends, diagnose issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Supporting equipment selection, tooling design, line layout, and cell optimization using Lean Manufacturing and continuous flow principles. Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements, particularly within metal fabrication and HVAC component manufacturing. Conducting time studies, capacity analysis, and labor utilization assessments to support throughput optimization and labor planning. Completing PFMEAs and applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to reduce complexity, improve quality, and lower production cost. Supporting cross‑border or multi‑site collaboration as applicable to ASC and ADTI manufacturing operations. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment—ideally involving sheet metal, HVAC components, metal fabrication, or assembly operations. Hands‑on experience with: Design for Manufacturability (DFM) PFMEA development Time studies and labor analysis Strong problem‑solving skills using Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar. Experience working with ERP/MRP systems for BOMs, routings, and engineering change management. Preferred Qualifications Experience in high‑volume or fast‑paced manufacturing environments. Familiarity with automation, CNC equipment, robotics, or advanced manufacturing technologies. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and manufacturing quality system documentation. Bilingual (English/Spanish) capability is a plus, given the El Paso manufacturing environment and cross‑functional collaboration needs. Work Environment This role is primarily based on the manufacturing floor and includes exposure to industrial equipment, metal processing, and moderate noise levels.
