Automation Engineering Engineer Location:
Fort Worth, TX - Onsite 5 days per week

$50000 - $60000 annually plus bonus and benefits
Position Summary:
The Automation Engineering Engineer is responsible for automation project introduction, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting management and automated systems used in electronics manufacturing. This position ensures maximum uptime, reliability, and performance both of team and machinery to meet production and quality objectives, while driving customer collaboration and introducing cutting-edge technologies to the manufacturing process. Automation Engineering collaborates closely with manufacturing teams cross to manufacturing engineering, operation, and quality teams to support continuous improvement and safe, efficient operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Automation Equipment Implementation and Maintenance Coordinate with Automation
HC, WUS IE
team and vendors for equipment installation, relocation, and commissioning for new production lines. Participle integration of new automation equipment, vision inspection, and related systems. Lead automation system calibration activities to ensure proper functionality before handoff to production. Lead automation equipment preventive and corrective maintenance management. Lead RCCA activities for diagnose and repair automation equipment failures. Participate technical engineering activities on identify root causes of equipment failures and corrective actions. Collaborate with engineers to improve equipment performance and reliability. Support production line changes, tooling adjustments, and process optimizations. Implement maintenance best practices to minimize unplanned downtime. Execute RCCA with PDCA process including error preventing actions.
Safety & Compliance :
Follow all OSHA, EHS, and company safety policies and procedures. Ensure all tools, parts, and equipment are handled and stored properly. Participate in equipment safety audits and corrective action implementation.
Required Skills :
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Automation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in automated system implementation, vendor management, equipment maintenance, preferably in electronics manufacturing, assembly, or automated production environments. Knowledge with manufacturing processes and experience in implementing automated equipment, with knowledge of mainstream market technologies. Knowledge with engineering management processes, capable of effectively planning and executing projects. Exceptional communication and coordination skills, able to interact effectively with teams and clients. Experience in troubleshooting PLCs, sensors, motors, conveyors, and pneumatic systems. Knowledge with robotics, vision systems, and automated equipment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical CAD drawings. Experience with automation machine design in 3D/2D tools, SolidWorks or Creo and AutoCAD.
Software Knowledge:
CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), Microsoft Office. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation. Effective communication and teamwork in cross-functional environments. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) : Equipment uptime and reliability metrics (MTBF / MTTR). Preventive maintenance completion rate and schedule adherence. Reduction in unplanned downtime or recurring failures. Compliance with safety and EHS standards. Quality of maintenance documentation and improvement initiatives supported.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands :
Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing and assembly environment involving exposure to machinery, moving mechanical parts, electrical systems, and occasional high noise levels. May require work in cleanroom or ESD-controlled areas and adherence to static control procedures. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, and climbing ladders or platforms. Regular lifting and carrying of objects up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting of heavier components with mechanical assistance. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for handling tools, wiring, and delicate mechanical parts. Visual acuity to read mechanical drawings, detect equipment malfunctions, and inspect parts. Ability to work in varying temperatures and occasionally confined spaces.
Work Hours:
May require rotating shifts, weekend coverage, overtime, or on-call availability to support production uptime and critical repairs
