Job Summary The Automation Engineer (often termed Manufacturing Engineer - System Integration) supports the design, installation, and commissioning of automated production lines. This role requires high-level technical expertise to bridge the gap between mechanical design, PLC programming, and high-volume production, specifically in electronics or server manufacturing environments.

Reasonability NPI & Production Launch:

Lead new product introduction projects, including line layout design, capacity planning, PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis), and fixture design.

Equipment Integration & Automation:

Design, debug, commission, and maintain automated production and test equipment.

System Optimization:

Tune equipment performance for improved throughput, cycle time, and reliability.

Troubleshooting:

Provide on-floor support to resolve automation failures, including PLC, robotic arm, or sensor issues.

Vendor Management:

Collaborate with automation vendors for equipment procurement, installation (FAT/SAT), and validation.

Documentation:

Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical manuals, and training materials for production personnel. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics. 2-8 years of experience in automation, system integration, or manufacturing engineering (electronic assembly industry preferred). Hands-on experience with PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI development. Knowledge of industrial robots, motion control systems, and machine vision systems. Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide on-site support (factory floor).
