Job Summary
Description:

You will be the Program Production Lead for the Sapphire Product Line team. Our team is responsible for establishing production designs and factory capacities for the entire Sapphire Product Line, managing design/fabrication/qualification of new test and manufacturing equipment, and delivering all non‑recurring activities associated with upcoming deliveries and ramps.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Program Production Lead you will be responsible for all activities under Production Operations and will liaison heavily with the Program Manager and Chief Engineer on program.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Design and execution of the Manufacturing System
  • Producibility and resiliency of the design
  • Development and execution of an automation strategy
  • Budget inputs and coordination of cross‑functional staffing
  • Capital planning and execution

- This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. A company‑sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.

Basic Qualifications:
  • A history of exceptional performance within Production Operations Management on large Production and/or Developmental Programs.
  • Experience within Production Operations Management on large Production and/or Developmental Programs.
  • Must have the basic skills required of a production operations manager.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in team building and leading through influence.
  • A clear understanding of the production processes.
Desired Skills:
  • Manufacturing experience with emphasis on RF.
  • Related professional level career experience in Production Operations leadership experience.
  • Experience in Development Programs and transitioning from development to production.
  • Program execution with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and leadership.
  • Experience in capacity & capital planning.
  • Understanding and wide application of assembly and Test methods.
  • First Unit Flow planning & execution.
  • Manufacturing & Test Statement of Work.
    - Proposal development experience.
  • Experience with Make-Buy generation / approval.
  • Experience in the design for manufacturing and design to cost.
  • Experience in processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handling.
  • CAM Certification or cost analysis experience.
  • Possess appropriate political acumen to communicate persuasively with a variety of customers (Project Office, Program Office and Senior Management).
Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
