What You'll Do
Review and check tilt-up engineering lifting and bracing engineering details and panel construction shop drawings for accuracy and completeness
Perform lifting and bracing engineering design
Calculate bracing loads and capacity of walls, floors and anchor blocks to resist them
Interact with technical engineers and non-technical operations personnel to integrate new technologies and update existing systems, as well as provide technical troubleshooting support to operations.
Interface with customers and salesmen as required to coordinate project priorities and schedule
Review, check and correct shop drawings to include occasionally performing tilt up, lifting, and bracing engineering design
Calculate reinforced concrete capacity to resist applied stresses from erection of tilt-up panels
Establish and maintain standard procedures for shop drawings details
Performing QA/QC for tilt up building projects
Perform miscellaneous engineering functions as the need arises
What You'll Need
Professional Engineer license considered a plus
Ability to sit and stand for duration of shift, up to 8 hours
Demonstrates dependability in work completion and flexibility in schedule to meet business needs.
Must be able to read Architectural and Structural Drawings/Specifications
Good problem solving skills is a must
Ability to work with other engineers, designers, and detailers
Familiarity with structural analysis software is desirable, but not required
Strong understanding of U.S. standards and building codes such as ACI, AISC, NDS, IBC and ASCE
AutoCAD and Microsoft Office knowledge required, REVIT preferred
Your Education
Bachelors in Civil Engineering Required
