Job Description

OWSI is in the process of adding a Manufacturing Engineer to our great team of manufacturing professionals. We are one of the oldest machine shops in Houston with a proven track record of success and excellence. Within our 30,000 square foot climate controlled facility we manufacture parts and accessories for the oil/gas and aerospace industries. The Manufacturing Engineer provides continuous support to all company manufacturing needs. This position will require the creation of new manufacturing processes and fine-tuning existing ones for the purpose of developing the most cost efficient and effective methods. •
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A CNC MACHINING/MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT
Responsibilities:
Creating manufacturing steps and processes. Utilize ERP System to enter process/job routing information. Engage in continuous process improvements. Engage in Cost-Control. Obtaining quotes for Material. Purchasing Material. Quoting outside services for manufactured components (i.e. coating, 3rd party inspection, welding, testing...).
Qualifications:
REQUIRED
5 years' experience in a manufacturing and machining environment. Strong math, trigonometry, and analytical skills. Strong knowledge of engineering drawings (to include ability to interpret GD&T). Strong knowledge of
Microsoft Office Suite:
Word, Excel and Outlook. Manufacturing Process Creation and Development. Experience with 3-D Solid Model creation / 2-D Drawing creation (•A plus but not required•). Good verbal and written communication skills including the ability to organize and communicate information clearly and effectively. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. High level of accuracy and attention to detail under time sensitive conditions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to work autonomously when given instructions and/or projects.
