Job Description:
Manufacturing Engineer Onsite - Northwest Houston We're working with a growing industrial services and manufacturing organization that's expanding its capabilities around gas turbine component repair and manufacturing . This isn't a desk-heavy design role. It's a hands-on manufacturing engineering position focused on improving how work actually gets done on the shop floor-machining, welding, fabrication, and repair processes. This client of ours is in the process of revamping their manufacturing processes progressing more into a cellular, lean, small batch process . On top of that, they are investing into new technologies optimizing their capabilities as it relates to machining, coating, welding, etc. What You'll Be Doing Improve machining, welding, and fabrication processes for turbine component repair Develop standard work, routers, and work instructions to drive consistency and efficiency Optimize cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and machining strategies Support CNC operations and troubleshoot production issues alongside the shop team Partner with plant engineering and operations on cycle time, cost, and quality improvements Help evaluate new technologies, repair methods, and vendors Support inspection processes and measurement methods (manual + automated) What They're Looking For Background in manufacturing engineering, repair engineering, or process engineering Experience in heavy machining, fabrication, or component repair environments Experience designing lean manufacturing processes
