Electromechanical Manufacturing Location:
Houston, TX 77064 Position Summary A growing manufacturer of custom electromechanical and motion-based solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations, process improvement initiatives, and engineering-to-manufacturing execution within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will focus on improving manufacturing efficiency, supporting production processes, troubleshooting technical issues, and helping ensure products are manufactured safely, consistently, and cost-effectively. The ideal candidate is hands-on, process-oriented, and comfortable working closely with engineering, machining, fabrication, assembly, and operations teams. The organization supports a variety of OEM applications across industrial, automation, HVAC, medical, and related technical markets with a strong emphasis on customized engineering solutions and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Support day-to-day manufacturing operations by troubleshooting production, assembly, and process-related issues Develop, improve, and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production documentation Collaborate closely with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to support efficient manufacturing execution Assist with implementation of process improvements focused on safety, quality, throughput, and cost reduction Support new product introduction activities including prototype builds, process validation, and production launch support Work with machining, fabrication, and assembly teams to improve manufacturability and production flow Analyze production data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to production or quality issues Assist in fixture, tooling, and manufacturing process development Support engineering change implementation and production readiness activities Ensure manufacturing processes comply with quality and operational standards Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machining fundamentals, fabrication, and assembly operations Experience supporting production environments and continuous improvement initiatives Familiarity with engineering drawings, BOMs, routings, and manufacturing documentation Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, quality, and production teams Hands-on mindset with strong attention to detail and process discipline Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting electromechanical, automation, industrial equipment, or motion-related products Exposure to lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing workflows Experience supporting prototype-to-production transitions Knowledge of tooling, fixture design, and process optimization techniques Exposure to ISO-regulated manufacturing environments
