Job Description

PLC Automation Engineer - (PE) - Food ManufacturingWe are looking for an experienced, capable, and certified PE PLC Automation Engineer with a strong technical engineering background specializing in process control/automation design and development, combined with hands on experience. The ideal candidate must have experience in engineering development, team support, technical management, project coordinator and full cycle project management as well as strong troubleshooting skills. The candidate must possess the ability to manage and maintain all aspects of the automation equipment in the canning facility, manage projects for new machine installations, conduct extensive troubleshooting, look for areas of improvement, identify bottlenecks, provide solution, support with preventive and predictive maintenance, create initiatives to make the manufacturing more cost effective and present projects to upper management for approval. Oversee all areas of automation and process engineering for the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, install, and program automation systems.

Troubleshoot and debug automation systems.

Develop and maintain process controls for our automation systems.

Work with other engineers to design and develop automation systems.

Monitor and analyze production and manufacturing data.

Implement system upgrades and improvements.

Manage projects and coordinate with other teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Must be a certified PE8+ years experience with Automation Systems, Manufacturing, and Manufacturing Engineering.4+ years of recent Food/Beverage manufacturing experience.

Experience with Allen Bradley, RS Logix/Studio 5000.Strong knowledge of Process Control/Automation Design and Development.

Experience with Troubleshooting and Project Management.

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.
