Job Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for an onsite opportunity with a manufacturing company in Huntsville, TX . This position is ideal for someone with a strong electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, or electromechanical background who enjoys improving processes, creating clear work instructions, supporting production teams, and helping solve technical manufacturing issues. The ideal candidate will be proficient with Microsoft Office and SolidWorks , have experience creating or improving process documentation/work instructions , and be comfortable reading technical documents or engineering drawings. An engineering degree is preferred, but not required for candidates with strong hands-on manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, or technical experience. Recent engineering graduates are welcome to apply , especially candidates with degrees in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field .
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and improve manufacturing process documentation, work instructions, procedures, and production guides.
- Review current manufacturing and assembly processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Support production teams by troubleshooting manufacturing, assembly, electrical, mechanical, or process-related issues.
- Work with engineering, production, quality, and management teams to improve efficiency, consistency, and product quality.
- Use SolidWorks to review or support technical drawings, parts, assemblies, and manufacturing-related documentation.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, work instructions, and product specifications.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow, reduce errors, increase efficiency, and support cost-saving initiatives.
- Assist with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, corrective actions, and process standardization.
- Recommend improvements to equipment, tooling, layouts, procedures, and production methods.
- Help train production employees on updated processes, documentation, or procedures when needed.
- Ensure manufacturing processes follow company quality, safety, and documentation standards.
- Maintain organized records of process updates, production changes, work instructions, and improvement projects.
Requirements:
- SolidWorks experience is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office , especially Word and Excel.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or electromechanical aptitude.
- Ability to create, edit, and improve work instructions, process documentation, and technical procedures.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, technical documents, specifications, and manufacturing instructions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to support production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with production, engineering, quality, and leadership teams.
- Previous manufacturing, engineering, production support, process improvement, or technical documentation experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, quality standards, or corrective actions is a plus.
- Experience with electronic or electromechanical manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license .
