This position ensures plans and technical documentation align with TxDOT, municipal, and standard design practices. Key responsibilities include preparing drainage studies; developing roadway, pavement, and bridge designs; producing complex technical reports; and coordinating design inputs with internal staff and external stakeholders.
Required qualifications/skills:
Practical construction experience across diverse civil projects; supervisory/managerial decision-making experience preferred Experience supervising engineers and/or construction inspectors Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, Open Bridge Modeler, and Civil 3D Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Professional English communication (read/write/speak); Spanish-English bilingual skills may be required Above-average customer service; able to handle sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy Apply to help deliver high-quality public infrastructure in Pharr, TX. A Typical Workday Your day is spent onsite, moving between focused design time and collaborative check-ins. You review evolving project needs, apply mature judgment to time-sensitive decisions, and refine plan sets to keep deliverables on track.
