40.0 Responsibilities

+ Owns and supports process-engineering activities at the site, including troubleshooting, process improvement, and safety projects

+ Develops front-end loading (FEL) packages to define project scope, including equipment checks, P&ID development, safety valve analysis, and vendor coordination

+ Participates in incident investigations, owns process-engineering actions, and translates findings into facility-improvement projects

+ Develops management-of-change (MOC) packages and evaluates operating conditions to propose troubleshooting approaches

+ Ensures processes and equipment comply with environmental and safety regulations

+ Leads small capital projects under $2 million, including plant layout, equipment procurement, and startup support

+ Defines project scope and collaborates with discipline leads and stakeholders Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from an accredited university + 5+ years of experience with an EPC firm or petrochemical operating company

+ Experience with equipment design for pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, heat exchangers, and control valves

+ Knowledge of pressure-relief devices, process simulation, PFDs, P&IDs, distillation, and reaction systems
