Process Engineering Technician - Semiconductor Assembly Position Summary Hands-on role supporting prototype / engineering builds in a semiconductor assembly environment. Focus on equipment setup, troubleshooting, process execution, and rapid problem solving to meet quick-turn customer and development needs. Key Responsibilities Run and support engineering builds, DOE trials, and prototype assembly lots Program and operate assembly equipment (e.g., mold, grind, saw, laser, coat) Troubleshoot equipment and process issues; drive to resolution Perform PMs, changeovers, and basic maintenance to keep tools production-ready Collect data and support root cause analysis and yield improvement efforts Document issues, updates, and changes (logs, work instructions, pass-downs) Provide technical support and training to operators and production teams Identify and implement process and cycle time improvements Required Qualifications Associate degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years semiconductor manufacturing or similar high-tech environment Hands-on aptitude is critical — must be comfortable working directly on tools and solving issues in real time Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment Preferred Experience Semiconductor assembly processes (die attach, wire bond, molding, singulation, wafer thin/saw, die pick, etc.) Prototype / NPI or high-mix, low-volume manufacturing Basic understanding of SPC, DOE, and yield analysis Work Environment Cleanroom environment (ESD/PPE required) Shift work / extended hours may be required to support prototype demand This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company.
