Designer 2 Hunting Energy Services - 3.7 Stafford, TX Job Details 3 hours ago Qualifications ERP systems High school diploma or GED Productivity software Full Job Description The Designer 2 will use computer-aided drafting software to develop layouts, drawings and designs that meet engineering specifications.
Responsibilities:
Assists with the design and development of new products. Reviews requirements or instructions from an Engineer to design and develop new components or redesign existing components to improve company products. Works with an Engineer to determine the feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors. Confers with Engineers to clarify or resolve problems and develops design for research and development purposes. Prepares or directs preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings and schematics. Confers with research and other engineering personnel and prepares design modifications as required. Assists with the development of product design and functionality. Provides support to manufacturing to ensure product is fabricated and assembled based on the intended functionality of the design. Reviews engineering drawings, analyzes design and retrieves information to complete drawing, layout or design. Uses detail drawing or engineering specifications to dimension, scale or line locate.
Required Skills and Experience:
Required:
High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred:
Associate's degree in Engineering.
Required:
Minimum of 5 years' work experience in an engineering environment. Must have experience using SolidWorks, PTC Pro-Engineer (Creo), and/or AutoCAD software for mechanical design. Must have experience using ERP software and Microsoft Office. Must have strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments. Prefer individuals with subsea experience.

Work Environment/Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position will require working primarily indoors in a smoke-free office and manufacturing facility but may also require the employee to be outdoors on occasion. On-Site presence is required. Limited travel will be required to support offsite personnel and business projects. Occasional assignments will require remote accessing and may include evening or weekend schedules. The noise level is usually moderate. Employee will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts. Candidates are required to be authorized to work in the United States.
