SUMMARY:
The Design Engineer will Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to support product development and production execution, analyze engineering specifications and testing data to optimize transformer performance and support continuous improvement initiatives through process enhancements, troubleshooting, and compliance with engineering standards and documentation practices. What You'll Do Communicate with Customers and Sales to assure accurate design requirements Design of magnetic components based on requirements Generate quotes for new products, including accurate BOM and labor estimates. Detail construction steps for the creation of build documents Review quotes and manufacturing documents for accuracy Create drawings/documentation for Customer use as necessary Design and build test fixtures for manufacturing as needed Enter and maintain Engineering data in MRP system Provide support to India facility as needed Provide production engineering support to manufacturing Follow company guidelines and policies Provide technical and application support to customers Other duties as assigned What You'll Bring A Bachelors degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering and/or several years of relevant work experience. Working knowledge of transformer design principles and applications. What we Value Good communication skills and ability to work with others. Ability to use various Microsoft products (e.g. Excel, Access, Word etc…) Use of AutoCAD or other drafting software with 3D modeling knowledge Demonstrated ability to work diligently on multiple projects/products.
