We are seeking a Manufacturing Test Systems Engineer to own the automated test system infrastructure on the factory floor at our new Salt Lake City Electronics Manufacturing Facility. In this role, you will serve as the critical bridge between headquarters and local production. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing test stations and logging/analysis tools to ensure full feature coverage and reliable performance. You will also partner closely with headquarters RF, systems, software, and quality engineering teams to establish thresholds, validate new tests, enable feature rollouts, and support resolution of production line issues through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis The Manufacturing Test Systems Engineer will work onsite at the new location in Salt Lake City, UT . While the position requires minimal long-term travel, it will travel extensively to Los Angeles for training during the initial 6 to 8 weeks. The position offers a base salary of $100,000 to $115,000, a 10% on target bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Test Systems Engineer Design and implement comprehensive test plans to provide full coverage of wireless communication system feature sets. Design and implement logging and log analysis tools to capture performance of both the systems under test and the test infrastructure itself. Take ownership of production test station design, implementation, maintenance, repair, and upgrade; continuous improvement of manufacturing test efficiency. Collaborate with RF and systems engineering teams to understand performance requirements and establish production tests and performance thresholds. Partner with engineering and quality teams to validate new testing approaches for rollout to production. Work closely with the software development team to augment production test systems to support rollout of new features and product configurations. Performs advanced failure analysis and root cause determination for production issues escalated beyond standard manufacturing troubleshooting, with a focus on design-related causes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or another related technical field 2+ years of test engineering experience in a wireless/networking or electronics manufacturing environment with
ISO 9001
processes and procedures. Strong foundational skills in software development with Python, C/C++, or related languages. Experience developing for one or more of Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android, or Bare metal environments. Proficient with RF instruments such as signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
