Overview :
We are seeking a results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to improve production processes and ensure operational efficiency through the application of DMAIC methodologies and Lean Manufacturing principles. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement projects, resolve manufacturing issues, and help drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency across all levels of operations as well as contributing to various Industry 4.0 projects.
Responsibilities :
Apply DMAIC methodology and lead Lean initiatives (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Kanban, Standard Work) to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and optimize workflows across cross-functional teams Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and monitor KPIs to drive data-informed decision-making Provide training to shop floor personnel, mentor site leadership on Lean Manufacturing principles, and serve as change advocate for organizational transformation Build and present investment cases to management through technical, economic, and capacity studies Define technical specifications based on customer requirements and manage projects at operational level with key milestones, risk analysis, and regular reporting Support root cause analysis, corrective actions for safety and quality issues, and provide manufacturing problem-solving expertise Identify and propagate best practices to reduce costs and improve quality across the organization Be an advocate for change, coach, train and mentor site leadership on the fundamentals and principals of Lean Manufacturing Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to drive decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and logisitcs to implement process improvements.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with Lean deployment and driving changes in production shop floor through strategic projects Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (DMAIC) principles; certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt) is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with process mapping, statistical analysis, and continuous improvement tools. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO standards. High level of initiative in identifying areas of opportunity Strong analytical skills in defect prevention root cause analysis and problem resolution Ability to develop and motivate a high-involvement team through commitment to meeting customer and organization demands Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization Demonstrated commitment for process improvement Strong safety mindset Servant leadership mentality Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a diverse multi-cultural team environment
