Job Description

Our manufacturing client is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. The Manufacturing Engineer performs a wide range of engineering duties, including production floor support, process development, and capital equipment procurement. This role is responsible for analyzing manufacturing issues, developing alternative solutions, and evaluating each option for efficiency and cost effectiveness. The position maintains a strong working knowledge of plant operating systems and mechanical equipment while driving continuous improvement through awareness of state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing technology. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal communication skills and frequent collaboration with internal teams across multiple levels as well as with external vendors and contractors. This job will have the following responsibilities: Prepare tool orders and material requisitions as required for assigned projects, clearly communicating specifications to vendors. When tooling work is completed internally, communicate requirements to the appropriate department supervisor for tooling build or repair. Address manufacturing challenges that range from minor process adjustments to major facility modifications or installation of new machinery. For large‑scale projects—such as commissioning new equipment or transferring machinery from another site—work with personnel from division or group leadership as part of the project team. Contribute to all phases of equipment projects including installation, setup, debugging, implementation, and training. Serve as the liaison between plant operations and division‑level staff on project assignments. Prepare weekly or monthly updates on the status of assigned projects. Analyze manufacturing problems and develop alternative solutions. Evaluate solution options based on efficiency and cost effectiveness. Maintain practical knowledge of operating systems and mechanical equipment throughout the plant. Seek continuous process improvement by staying current with advancements in mechanical technology. Keep the supervisor regularly informed on project progress, challenges, and results.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred). 1+ years of relevant engineering experience. Knowledge of
ISO 9001, ISO
14001, and TS16949 standards. Experience supporting product launches is a plus. Background in aluminum processing welding, vacuum brazing, CAB brazing, or press room operations is beneficial. Strong computer skills and project management abilities.
