About Us We are a growing manufacturer and supplier of high-quality carbide tooling used in machining and fabrication environments. Position Summary We are seeking a highly technical, detail-oriented CNC Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations across CNC machining and production processes. A background in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET) is strongly preferred. This role is heavily focused on CNC manufacturing process optimization, quality improvement, tooling, workflow efficiency, process control, and operational execution. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working closely with machinists and production personnel on the shop floor. The CNC Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in improving manufacturing systems, increasing throughput, reducing variation, improving quality, and supporting day-to-day shop operations. Key Responsibilities Support and improve CNC manufacturing operations and production workflows. Develop and optimize machining processes, tooling strategies, fixturing, and setup procedures. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues on the shop floor. Improve manufacturing efficiency, throughput, repeatability, and process consistency. Develop SOPs, work instructions, setup documentation, and manufacturing standards. Monitor production metrics, scrap, cycle times, and operational KPIs. Support quality control efforts and process improvement initiatives. Work closely with machinists, operators, and production personnel to improve manufacturability and workflow. Support scheduling, inventory coordination, and production planning as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional manufacturing environment. Qualifications 5-10 years of experience in CNC machining or manufacturing environments. Strong CNC machining background required. Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET) background strongly preferred. Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, feeds/speeds, fixturing, and process control. Experience improving manufacturing efficiency and operational performance. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Highly detail-oriented and process-driven. Strong communication and organizational skills. ERP/MRP experience preferred. Experience in carbide tooling or precision manufacturing preferred. Ideal Candidate Traits Hands-on and technically capable. Process-oriented with strong attention to detail. Self-motivated and operationally disciplined. Passionate about manufacturing and continuous improvement. Comfortable working in a fast-paced small manufacturing environment.
