Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY
Develop, plan, and implement continuous improvements in a manufacturing environment that yield a competitive advantage. Implement and support the broad range of lean manufacturing concepts applicable in a discrete manufacturing environment. Create and maintain metrics that promote root cause identification and corrective action.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement & support lean manufacturing (develop cell layout and design based upon projected customer demand, incorporate safety and ergonomic factors, electronic data presentation and tracking, progressive quality checks, linearity, etc.) Champion continuous improvement efforts associated with various manufacturing processes Utilize data to perform root cause identification and implement root cause corrective actions. Participate in cross-functional teams to improve lead times, reduce product cost, analyze and reduce costs of nonconformance, evaluate new products and/or product enhancements, etc. Create and/or maintain manufacturing documentation such as Operational Method Sheets, Work Instructions, Shop Routers, Set up sheets, and Product Data Sheets for various manufacturing areas Ensure that projects are executed to achieve cost and completion goals.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES BS/MS
degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Preferred BS/MS degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering will be considered Minimum of 5 years' experience preferred Innovative problem solver who is an action-oriented self-starter Working Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques Experience in establishing and managing KPI's Capital project development and project management experience Visual Shop Floor Management experience Microsoft Office proficiency Exposure to Time/Methods Study Techniques Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge & experience in DraftSight and/or SolidWorks software a plus Experience working in a union environment a plus The pay range for this role is $78,451.34 - $117,732.17 per year.
