Job Description

Job Description Lead complex process improvement projects focused on increasing productivity, reducing waste, and improving overall equipment effectiveness. Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers, production teams, and cross-functional stakeholders. Analyse manufacturing performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimisation. Drive root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective and preventative actions. Oversee the introduction of new products, equipment, and manufacturing technologies into production. Develop and standardise process documentation, work instructions, and engineering best practices. Partner with quality, maintenance, operations, and supply chain teams to improve performance across the business. Manage capital and process improvement projects from concept through implementation. Evaluate and recommend equipment upgrades, automation opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives. Support employee development through technical coaching, training, and mentoring. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards while promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute long-term operational improvement strategies. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. 8+ years of process engineering experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proven track record leading process improvement, cost reduction, and operational excellence initiatives. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders. Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Experience leading root cause investigations and implementing long-term solutions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence teams across all levels of the organisation. Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop less experienced engineers. Preferred Qualifications Experience within wire and cable, plastics, metals, automotive, aerospace, or other high-volume manufacturing environments. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Belt or Green Belt certification. Experience with SPC, PFMEA, process validation, and statistical analysis. Knowledge of
ISO 9001, IATF
16949, or similar quality management systems. Familiarity with automation, manufacturing technology implementation, and capital equipment projects.
