Pay Rate:
$57/hr Job Summary seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 2 to support Wire Shops, Systems, and Test Labs in Seattle, WA. This role focuses on developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring design compliance, and driving production efficiency. The ideal candidate will play a key role in build planning, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and integrity. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain integrated build plans, including work instructions for assembly, fabrication, tooling, inspection, and kitting Perform Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analysis to ensure producibility and efficiency Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to support cross-functional engineering solutions Analyze design and build concepts to ensure alignment with manufacturing capabilities Identify and resolve technical issues impacting cost, schedule, and performance Validate production readiness and implement solutions for complex manufacturing challenges Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve processes and efficiency Collaborate with Supplier Management to support lab test integration and manufacturing requirements Support configuration compliance and ensure alignment with program and design standards Required Qualifications Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical manufacturing processes and assembly sequencing Experience working with Aerospace Manufacturing Systems Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environment 3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role Experience leading projects or cross-functional teams Experience in space or military electronics Familiarity with manufacturing tools such as PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, or GOLDesp
