CNC Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role As a CNC Manufacturing Engineer, you will drive the production of high-precision components by developing advanced machining programs and optimizing manufacturing workflows. You will serve as a technical authority, bridging the gap between complex engineering requirements and shop-floor execution to ensure superior quality and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Design and implement sophisticated CNC machining programs and manufacturing methods to achieve high-precision results. Optimize production by selecting advanced tooling and designing custom fixturing solutions. Lead critical setup operations and validate new processes before transitioning them to the production team. Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce cycle times and enhance throughput. Act as a technical mentor, sharing best practices in machining and programming to elevate team capabilities. Collaborate with quality and estimating departments to ensure project feasibility and compliance with contractual standards. Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of hands-on experience in a precision machining environment. Advanced proficiency in CAD/CAM software for complex part programming. Comprehensive understanding of machining techniques, tooling technology, and manufacturing processes. Strong grasp of quality assurance standards and technical documentation. Preferred Skills Experience within aerospace or defense manufacturing sectors. Deep knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems. Familiarity with government contracting and technical data package (TDP) requirements. Proficiency in MS Office for reporting and project management.
