Operates FIPG (Foam In Place Gasket) machine in a safe manner, producing quality parts to production requirements. Uses formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, and computer scanning devices and instructions where interpretation is required.KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs product problem solving and corrective action. Provides daily communication of activities to the supervisor. Takes ownership of problems and attempts to find resolution. Performs process and equipment adjustments when necessary. Notifies responsible departments on potential safety, quality, and equipment issues to address the problems Monitors and tracks area performance to target. Needs to have the ability to react to changing conditions and environment. Be able to make decisions with little or no direction. Effectively communicate to other shifts and/or departments to resolve Mfg. issues. Repairs minor machine problems. Performs other duties as necessary. Education High school diploma or GED program preferred. Functional Experience Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Knowledge of blueprints and SPC. Some computer experience is helpful. (Preferably Microsoft Office) Product knowledge or similar experience is helpful. Core Competencies Operate cable assembly machines Attentiveness Ability to understand and follow directions Manual dexterity Physical stamina Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Factory environment with noise from manufacturing processes. Exposure to moving equipment, parts, and electrical shock, also exposed to burns around die-castings and resin. Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment. Daily lifts, carries or moves objects - weighing up to 50 pounds. Required to work non-operating times and weekends with Maintenance as directed.Similar remote jobs
