This position is in Huntsville, AL and supports the Sentinel program.
What You'll Get To Do:
Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures. Read and understand blueprints. Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools Perform such minor part-fitting operations as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Measure parts with precision tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. Daily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems Use of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectiveness. Job Qualifications:
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Level 1: Must have a High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and 0 years of relevant experience with sheet metal structures, hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, manufacturing electrical and/or systems. Level 2: Must have a High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and 2 years of relevant experience with sheet metal structures, hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, manufacturing electrical and/or systems. Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need Must have knowledge of electronic principles, the ability to wire and assemble circuits and understand the operation of basic test equipment Prepare and maintain necessary reports and records as required Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead. Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment. The ability to pass Medical/Respiratory Exam. Primary Level Salary Range:
$41,300.00 - $68,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range:
$41,900.00 - $81,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
