Job Description

SMT Applications Technician (Juki Equipment) Surface Mount Technology | Juki Programming | AS9100 Manufacturing On-Site | 4/10 Schedule (Mon-Thurs) DirectPath Recruiting Services is partnering with a growing, high-reliability electronics manufacturer to hire an experienced SMT Applications Technician with a strong background in Juki SMT equipment . This role supports laboratory and production operations by programming, setting up, maintaining, and operating SMT assembly equipment to produce high-quality electronic assemblies. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Juki pick-and-place machines, feeder setup, SMT programming, reflow profiling, and AS9100 manufacturing environments . What You'll Do Program, operate, and maintain Juki SMT pick-and-place equipment in a lab/manufacturing environment. Convert customer CAD data into accurate, production-ready SMT machine programs. Set up, load, break down, and verify Juki component feeders per pick lists and job requirements. Verify components, part numbers, and polarity against customer-supplied BOMs and documentation . Perform reflow oven profiling and verify existing profiles to ensure product quality through the reflow process. Operate SMT equipment to produce high-quality assemblies that meet customer and aerospace/defense standards. Troubleshoot SMT equipment issues and perform unscheduled repairs as needed. Conduct preventive and scheduled maintenance on Juki and related SMT production equipment. Maintain and complete all machine, product, and traveler documentation for each job. Follow all Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, including AS9100 requirements . Maintain required certifications, including

with Space Addendum . Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management. Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with Juki SMT equipment (programming, setup, operation, maintenance). Knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes and automated assembly equipment . Strong understanding of component identification and polarity . Experience working with DOS and Windows-based SMT equipment operating systems . Ability to read and interpret customer drawings, specifications, and requirements . Ability to work independently with minimal supervision . Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment . Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs . Strong verbal and written communication skills. Education & Certifications
J-STD-001
Certification with Space Addendum (required) Training aligned with AS9100 Quality Program requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Juki machine training or equivalent hands-on experience strongly preferred Additional Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience operating automated SMT assembly equipment Experience with Juki equipment is a strong plus U.S. Citizenship required Must pass background check and drug screening Ability to work a 4/10 schedule (Monday-Thursday)
