Manufacturing Engineering Technician (Weekend Shift) Mesa, AZ Nammo Defense Systems, Inc. Full Time 729273 JOB
OVERVIEW
The Manufacturing Engineer Technician in the Manufacturing Engineering Group supports a team of engineers in the execution and improvement of manufacturing processes at the Mesa, Arizona facility. These processes may or may not include energetics. The position will provide technical engineering support for new, continuing, and engineering production efforts. In addition, the technician monitors processes/KPIs, trains manufacturing operators, authors/updates/redlines process documentation, trouble shoot and repair equipment and ensures work instruction implementation as directed by engineering. Furthermore, the Manufacturing Engineer Technician will be responsible for following NDS systems and practicing engineering rigor. How you will be rewarded as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician (Weekend Shift)
  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday weekend shift working three 12-hour days with a half-hour unpaid lunch and paid breaks.
  • Along with the base wage pay, there will be an additional hourly shift difference pay for working the weekend shift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Apply basic engineering level principles to safely development or improve manufacturing processes to meet program requirements.
  • May be required to fill in as an operator.
  • Assist in the development of new tooling, processes, and techniques.
  • Maintain a RAIL detailing work progression and results.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and assess equipment.
  • Provide training for operators.
  • Review results of experiments and analyses performed by either engineering or operators.
  • Collaborate with Supervisors, Operators, Quality, Safety and Engineering teams to sustain and improve current processes.
  • Follow standard practices and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate and schedule support work for other departments.
  • Wear safety equipment as required.
  • Occasionally exert up to 50 lbs. of force in the course of normal work.
  • Consistent collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering for direction and tracking tasks
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
  • Associate degree in a technical field or High School/General Education Diploma (GED) with proven hands-on work experience
  • Minimum 0 years of experience with propellants, pyrotechnics, and/or explosives
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment
  • Can demonstrate good mechanical and trouble shooting skills.
  • General understanding mechanical systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Teams, and Power Point
  • A working knowledge of energetic material regulations and safe handling/measurement.
  • Ability to obtain approval through ATF to handle Nammo Defense Systems' products and information.
  • Ability to work effectively with the cross-functional NDS Mesa Team
  • Proficient technical writer
