I, II, III
is responsible for assembling composite products in accordance with defined engineering drawings, specifications, and planning documentation. This role requires proficiency in the use of both power and hand tools to fabricate and assemble high-quality components to precise standards. Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to understand and accurately follow detailed work instructions. The Technician must consistently apply precision and care throughout the assembly process to ensure product integrity and performance. All work must be performed in strict adherence to ACM policies, procedures, and quality standards.
ITAR Requirement:
This position requires the use of information which is subject to compliance with International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR). To conform to U.S. Government export regulations/ITAR, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Familiarity in interpreting and following specifications, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions to accurately build and fabricate composite parts and bonded assemblies.
  • Familiarity on how to fabricate and apply a wide variety of temporary tools including composite layup and metal fixtures needed to support the builds.
  • Familiarity of prep and bonding of composite structures.
  • Familiarity of tooling preparation and release application.
  • Assist in maintaining overall shop appearance and cleanliness.
  • Follow and execute detailed written instructions
  • Complete all required information on the traveler form. Must be legible and complete.
  • Familiarity with proper use of hand and power tools; prior experience is a plus.
  • Experience in aerospace or aircraft fabrication in a quality-controlled environment preferred.
  • Pays attention to the details and is comfortable following and recording data on a computer.
  • Independently performs non-routine and moderately complex assignments.
  • Candidates shall have familiarity and ability of reading engineering drawings and Process Specifications or Procedures.
  • Know how to read and write English
  • Familiarity of proper use of air tools
  • Familiarity of operation of the forklift
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment with assembly work or other equivalent experience.
  • Must have a good command of the English language, be able to read, write and follow written instructions in English.
  • Comfortable working from blueprints, mil specs, and engineering procedures a plus.
  • Understanding of basic shop math.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be able to follow established methods and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Effective team player with strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to use cutting tools and measuring equipment.
  • Knowledge of resins, mixing, ratios, and paste mixes a plus.
  • Mechanical Aptitude in the use of hand tools and good math skills
  • The ability to follow procedures and directions with minimal instruction
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Full-time work on the manufacturing floor.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Must lift, carry, push, or pull materials and components up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, and varying temperatures; appropriate PPE and hearing protection are required.
  • Must follow all safety procedures and maintain awareness in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
