This role involves performing maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on Ford vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with heavy line mechanical systems, including replacing and repairing engines, exhaust systems, turbos, and phasers, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on Ford vehicles, including engines, exhaust systems, turbos, and phasers Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical faults Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed Requirements Proven experience as a Heavy Line Technician or similar role Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems, including engine and exhaust components Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Valid driver's license and reliable transportation High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus Benefits Competitive pay ranging from $25.00 - $45.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly Opportunity for overtime and advancement Supportive and collaborative work environment Health and wellness benefits package Paid time off and holidays About the Company Theodore Robins Ford is a premier automotive service provider based in Costa Mesa, CA. Health, Medical and Dental 401K Plan Paid time off and vacation Growth opportunities Employee vehicle purchase plans Family owned and operated Long term job security Flexible Work Schedule Responsibilities Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc. Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed.
